The RCR motto is "Yes, we can" which, for the client translates to an innovative and creative attitude resulting in a one of a kind event. Our forté is our attention to detail!
What if we don’t like the "typical" menu choices?
RCR prefers to customize and "create" menus for our clients such as multi ethnic dishes, whether they be plated or buffet dinners or stations. Our team works with you to design menus to suit your specific requirements and budget. Final decisions on your menu selections should be discussed four weeks prior to your event. Our standard menus are provided only as a starting point for discussion.
When do I have to give a final number for those attending the meal?
A guarantee for the number of attendees is required at least seventy-two (72) hours, or 3 business days prior to your event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number, or the actual attendance, whichever is greater. Keep in mind, however, that the venue has based all price quotations on numbers reflected in the details and expected attendance. Any change in current requirements could result in price changes, based on a change in your numbers. For example, if you think your attendance will be 150 guests, and your menu price is $26.95 then your numbers drop to 80, the menu price will reflect those numbers and may increase.
What is your payment structure?
Our terms are 10% due at the time of signing the contract; 20% thirty days prior to the function, and balance due in full by cash or cheque on the day of the function. All deposits are non-refundable. Invoicing will be to approved accounts only. A house account application must be completed and submitted to RCR for approval at least 30 days prior to the event. Interest of 1.5% per month will be charged on overdue accounts.
Hopefully this won’t happen, but what if we have to cancel?
In the event of cancellation, cancellations not received at least 90 days prior to the scheduled event will be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the anticipated food and beverage revenue, plus gratuity and tax, based on average cheque figures. Cancellations not received within 30 days of the scheduled function will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the anticipated food and beverage revenue, plus gratuity and tax, based on average cheque figures. Cancellations not received within 7 days of the scheduled function will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the anticipated food and beverage revenue, plus service charges and tax based on average cheque figures.
Are there any other costs associated with "off site" catering?
Menu prices include food items and full service. An off site catering fee of between $5.00 and $12.00 per person (depending on the venue, your requirements and your choice of linens, chairs, china & glassware) will apply to cover the cost of transportation, set-up, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, dishes and cutlery.
