Venues: Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is the oldest and largest Maritime Museum in Canada. Steeped in marine culture and artifacts, an event located in this venue will add a high point to your guests' stay in Halifax. From an array of sextants, binnacles, figureheads, and anchors, to displays of Nova Scotia sailboats and local shipwrecks, the Museum is a gold mine of local nautical lore. The display of the Halifax Explosion-at the time, the largest man-made disaster in history-is particularly compelling.

The Small Craft Gallery's floor-to-ceiling windows provide breathtaking views of the wharves, Georges Island, and the sea. Located in the heart of Halifax's downtown waterfront, the Museum is within blocks of all major hotels, the business district, and ferries to Dartmouth. A perfect setting for receptions, dinners, meetings and other gatherings!
