Founded: Halifax, N.S., in 1974.
Founder: Robert C. Risley, a professional engineer by trade who saw the need for better restaurants in Halifax.
A Brief History: Since 1974, RCR has owned fifteen restaurants in Halifax including Fat Franks, Henry House, The Beanery, Le Bistro and Ryan Duffy's Steak & Seafood. Catering operations began in the mid 1980s when RCR used Pier 23 — an abandoned cargo warehouse (today known as The Cunard Centre) to house the very first “Ultimate Lobster Supper.”
Vice President of Sales & Marketing: Elizabeth Newman — joined RCR in 1994
Vice President of Operations: Shannon Bruhm — joined RCR in 1998

What is RCR?: RCR is the only professional, full–service, high–end catering company in Halifax which also owns three restaurants, two pubs and a resort.
